Vanishing beauty

Human activity induces environmental changes that negativly affect many plants known from our forests, meadows, mountains and lakes. Many species disappear and plants considered common became rare or irrevocably vanish. These unfavourable changes reduce the biodiversity. Simultaneously foreign species appear as the consequence of agriculture, gardening, amateur cultures, transport and tourism. This species constitute a severe threat for national taxa. This is why the rare and endangered species protection is of the highest importance for biologists and needs the regulation by law.

The presented exhibition contains 80 large photograms that are placed within the AMU Botanical Garden. The aim of this exhibition is not only to show the extraordinary world of the rarest ingredients of our plants but also to educate and to show the most important issues of environmental protection.

I would like to invite you to meet the fascinating world of vanishing plants!
