Welcome to the Botanical Garden

of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań

The Botanical Garden is placed in the western part of the city. This is a place for numerous cultural and art events beeing organized. Many plein-air painting, sculpture and photography workshops take place here. The Exhibition and Education Centre houses temporary exhibitions presenting works of art connected with nature. Most of all the Garden is one of the most popular and most often visited parks in Poznań.

The Botanical Garden possesses documented plant collections for scientific, didactic and educational purpose. They are divided into theme sections.

We prepared rich educational offer for nature and horticulture enthusiasts, children and youth. They may take advantage from numerous lectures, shows, workshops, trainings, excursions and educational environmental paths. During regular exterior events like the May Weekend in the Garden and the Botanical Garden Birthday Party (each September) visitors can enjoy picnics, workshops, concerts and art events, tours around the Garden and fairs. Academic education focuses on the protection of endangered and dying species. 

In 2006 a in central part of the Garden new and modern Exhibition Centre was given to use. Nearby the wooden, historic Summer Hall is localized. 

Plant lovers can visit the Garden Centre Botanik, where one cand find many interesting plants and flolar arrangements.

There is no fee for entrance to the Garden.
